Does anyone have experience with an Avaya Modular Messaging and Unity integration? It seems like it would work, but I can't find any doucmentation on this effort? I have a customer that has a large Modular Messaging and intuity install base today and wouldl like to migrate to Unity, but the integration of the two voice mails and the ability to share address books and VMs between the two systems, much like Unity Bridge does for Octel.

Hi -

I don't have experience with this type of networking, as we use the Unity Bridge to Octel, but here is a doc from Avaya that references VPIM networking support with Unity - http://www.avaya.com/gcm/master-usa/en-us/products/offers/message_networking.htm&View=ProdTechInterop

Here's the Cisco link to VPIM networking - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/405/networking/guide/ex/net_0550.html

This will require a VPIM license for Unity. If you have multiple Unity servers digitally networked, you can specify one Unity server to act as the bridgehead for VPIM networking with Avaya, meaning you should only need one server licensed for VPIM.
