I have a situation where I have a line shared between 2 phones. One phone will have an envelope insinuating voicemail is present where the other phone does not. In most cases, no new voicemail is present. It's like the phone with the envelope is not getting updated when the message is played on the other phone.
Go to that subscriber mailbox and down to the MESSAGES area. Under there you will see the message waiting indictors (MWI's). Under that is the MWI Extensions. You might only see an X. You'll want to remove that, and add both the extensions of the phones in that area. Put in the extension of the first, then click add and then add the other and save. After that refresh the status using that button. From this point on, both phones should be lit up when a message is received and when it is checked both lamps should go off.
Are you saying put the primary extension of the second phone in the table? The line is a primary line on one phone but not on the other (the phone where it IS the primary line works fine, it's the phone where is is a secondary line that's having the issue and doesn't get updated).
