Unity Codec + Mobility

Sorry in advance if this got posted twice, my browser crashed.

I have seen recent posts regarding Unity and playing voice messages from handhelds such as Treo's and Windows Mobile and the only solution I have seen is to change the codec format that Unity records. Is this the only way or is there an alternate method to get these to play? I have a mixture of Treo's and Windows Mobile 2003 devices. Is there a Cisco Best Practices document that explains how to support these handhelds in a UM environment?

Thanks,

Currently I am encoding wav files in GSM610. GSM is nice because the recordings are small like g729 encoded wav files but there is no native encoder in Windows, Windows mobile etc that plays g729 like there is for GSM. I believe Unity takes a bit on performance hit but it's worth it. Our Blackberry users are suffering because they can not play any .wav attachments.

Hope this helps...

The GSM encoding allows your devices to listen to the file then?

Enconding in GSM allows them to listen to the files on their WIndows Mobile devices (Blackberrys)?
