Hi All,
I faced a problem in Unity Connection 8.0 when I tried to configure AA for users without mail-box. I defined them as contacts but when I am trying to dial any extension the system was not able to route the call. I have to use dial by name rather than extension.
My question si: Is it the same for Unity Connection 8.5 and 8.6 ???
Is there any workaround??

Check this under greeting:
Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers
This is asked quite frequently, a search on CSC would have provided the answer to your question.

Hi JFV,
Hope all is well
This capability has been around since CUC 7.x;

You need to adjust the "Default System Transfer" restriction table under System Settings | Restriction Tables. By default it allows no number to be dialed for the system transfer conversation (for security of course) - you'll want to adjust it carefully to open up local number/extensions without exposing yourself to folks dialing long distance numbers on your dime.

Hi,
Sorry to reply just now. I created a lab and I tried to do the following:
Call Management >> System Call Handlers >> Opening Greeting:
Active Schedule = All hours.
Edit >> Greeting >> Standard >>
During Greeting = Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers
After that I called Unity:
Hello Cisco Unity Connection Messaging system … and I dialed the extension 1001 but UC answered me:
“You cannot be transferred to this number, check the number and try again.”
all other configuration to default.
