Unity Connection 9.x Split brain

we have a 9.x Connection pair.

we had to do an IP address change on the subscriber server.

we now see error in cluster management:  Communication is not functioning correctly between the servers in the Cisco Unity Connection cluster.

If we check from Publisher then it thinks it’s the Primary and if we check from the subscriber then it thinks it’s the primary.

show tech network hosts – correct info displayed

show perf query class "Number of Replicates Created and State of Replication"
==>query class :

 - Perf class (Number of Replicates Created and State of Replication) has instances and values:
    ReplicateCount  -> Number of Replicates Created   = 603
    ReplicateCount  -> Replicate_State                = 2

same on  both servers

Various reboots been done, services checked as ok and no firewalls between servers. We can ping each other from cli via IP address and hostname.

Please advise…TIA, Jeff

More than likely you will have to open a TAC case so that an engineer will have root access.  I am sure a DB table or host file on either your publisher or subscriber did not update to reflect the IP address change that was performed, resulting in a mismatch.  The following will have to be checked -

cat /home/informix/.rhosts

cat /home/tomcat/.rhosts
cat /opt/cisco/connection/.rhosts
cat /etc/hosts
cat /opt/cisco/connection/.ssh/known_hosts
cat /usr/local/cm/db/informix/etc/sqlhosts

I had to correct the ip of the publisher in this sqlhosts file on the publisher server here..

/usr/local/cm/db/informix/etc/sqlhosts

and then reboot the cluster

Hope this helps

Tony
