can we get the same patches for exchange server and sql server for unity from MS directly instead of from cisco website, I know I can get from cisco website, but for some reason , we need to get it from MS side, are thoes the same ? can we do that ? thanks
For Unity yes. I've pulled software updates from Cisco or Microsoft's web sites for service packs, security updates etc. for the Unity servers. I do check with Cisco and the forum just in case there's an alert on a hotfix or an update required for a service pack (permissions wizard update for example). Microsoft updates are not applicable for CallManager servers though. These must be obtained from Cisco directly.
