Hi I'm using this new version over an AIM CUE, that comes allready installed in the module
The problem that i recongnize,is that the VM-mailboxes are in Evaluation state, i activate the vm-mailbaxes via this command through aim-cue cli:
license activate voicemail mailboxes 25.
So the VM are going to work for a period of time (Evaluation), so i check for cisco documentation, and it comes that it should be installed if you buy the license for the VM mailboxes, really don´t know if they bought that license, should i have a pack number for it? so i can register and apply the lic file.}
FYI:

Hi Carlos,
Yes, you would require a PAK# to receive the "Permanent" licenses
Obtaining New or Additional Licenses
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel7_1/Licensing/Using_CSL.html#wp1101645
From this excellent doc;
Software Activation of Cisco Unity Express 7.1

Hope this helps!

Dear Rob,
Kindly I have also fall in the same issue
I found a paper included with the CUE module AIM2-CUE-K9 states that I have a default license of 5 mailboxes and 2 ports
And told that I can obtain this license without any needs to enter any codes
the card is pre-installed with 7.1.4
So I have tried to use www.cisco.com/go/license and try the link at the bottom of the page as described in the Doc, but when entering the PID and SN, it ask for device identification which I don't understand what it is mean.
But there is no PAK included at all
So How I can obtain this default license for my card ?
Also I have tried downgrading to CUE 7.0.3 to obtain the default 12 mailboxes but it give signature error when starting to download the *.pkg file
So please advise how to obtain my card license and if there any method to downgrade to 7.0.3 ??
Thanks a lot

Dear Bob,
I am also facing this issue. I got a permanent license for my CUE 7.1.7 and i have uploaded it. It was successfully installed. Although the permanent license is successfully installed, the license type is not changin to PERMANENT and is still showing in as EVALUATION. I have activated my required IVR's, Voice mail boxes and ports. I have reloaded my unity express and I am still facing this issue. The show license all is displayed below for your reference after uploading the permanent license.

Hi Thirruselvaa,
When you loaded the licenses what did the area highlighted below show?
After you obtain a license file from Cisco's licensing portal and copy it to a FTP or TFTP server, use the following CLI commands to install the license. Only the use of FTP is shown below.
1. license install ftp://username:password@ip_address/path/license_file
2. reload
3. enable
4. show license all
5. show license in-use
6. show license status application
Step 1 license install ftp://username:password@ip_address/path/license_file.
Use this command to install all of your licenses. As shown in the following example (which is truncated for easier readability), the command initiates several actions that result in either the printing of an end user license agreement with prompts to accept the agreement (for extension licenses only) or messages indicating that the license is installed. When a license is successfully installed, a message will confirm the installation and state whether or not the licensed feature is present in the current image.
service-module# license install ftp://192.1.1.53/lic/nme-159/nme-159.lic
Installing...Feature:VMIVR-IVR-SESS...Successful:Supported

Installing...Feature:VMIVR-PORT...Successful:Supported
License Note:

4/4 licenses were successfully installed
0/4 licenses were existing licenses
0/4 licenses were failed to install
The installation process does not install duplicate licenses. The following message is displayed when duplicate licenses are detected:
Installing...Feature:xxx-xxx-xxx...Skipped:Duplicate
Note Install all of your licenses before continuing to the next step.
Step 2 reload
Use this command to reboot the module:
service-module# reload
Step 3 enable
Use this command to enter Privileged Exec Mode:
service-module# enable
Enter Your Password If Prompted.
Step 4 show license all
Use this command to display a summary of all of the licenses installed on your module:
service-module# show license all
StoreIndex: 0 Feature: VMIVR-PORT Version: 1.0
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, In Use
License Count: 4 / 4

License Count: 60 / 0

Note If your module was shipped with Cisco Unity Express 7.1 or later, the output will display CSL-based evaluation licenses, as shown above.
Step 5 show license in-use
Use this command to display information about the licenses that are in use on your module:
service-module# show license in-use
StoreIndex: 0 Feature: VMIVR-PORT Version: 1.0
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, In Use
License Count: 4 /4
License Priority: Medium
StoreIndex: 1 Feature: VMIVR-VM-MBX Version: 1.0
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, In Use
License Count: 5 /5
License Priority: Medium
Step 6 show license status application application-name
Use this command to display information about the applications that are installed on your module. If you do not supply an application name, information is displayed for voice mail and IVR.
service-module# show license status application
voicemail enabled: 4 ports, 4 sessions, 5 mailboxes
ivr disabled, no activated ivr session license available
Cheers!

Hi Hytham,
Have you tried
The UDI is printed on a label located on the back of most Cisco hardware devices or on a label tray visible on the front panel of field-replaceable motherboards. The UDI can also be viewed via software using the show license udi command in privileged Exec mode. The UDI has two main components: the product ID (PID) and the serial number (SN).
Just to check....you have fired everything up already? I wouldn't think for a newly ordered 7.1 system that any licenses would need to be installed
as they should be pre-loaded.
Cheers!
Rob

Hi Rob,
Thanks a lot for your reply
Yes I have a new card,but don't find any pre-loaded license installed
As per this link:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel7_1/Licensing/Using_CSL.html#wp1101645
I understand that I must obtain the new license with the PAK
But I didn't find any PAK included with the CUE module, also I have allready got the PID & SN using "sh inventory"
But I have stucked here,
So I need to know how to activate this preloaded license ?
Thanks a lot again
