I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not Unity failover is based on Exchange clustering?

Thanks.

The failover Unity server is configured exactly the same as the primary and its partner server is the same as the primary's.

The secondary is just a standyby Unity server that takes over when the primary is inactive.

I hope this helps some.

Thanks. I read that as a no. Am I right? So, it the few seconds for a failover mentioned in the docs accurate?

Justin

Yes thats correct. You can test failover testing using the Unity tools depot tool called failover monitor. You can manually do a failover from primary to secondary. I have hardly seen any failed calls with my past clients while doing a failover testing.

Thanks. That's what I needed to know.
