I have a customer who is looking at doing Unity Failover. Is the failover configuration supported over the WAN. They are building a disaster recovery site and would like to place one unity server at their head quarters and the other at the disaster recovery location.
Thanks.

No, failover is not supported over a WAN. Failover was designed with the assumption that the Unity server would be on the same 100mb switch.
Thanks,
Keith

What about a 100MB Ethernet Over Sonet connnection? What about 200MB? Just curious as we have customer that would like to do this.

I just finished reading through the Unity 4.0.4 System Functional Spec, and it does gives support for Unity Failover in an IP MAN environment with connectivity of at least 100MB (section 3.9.4 for those of you reading along at home).
