Curiousity; I have a customer who would like to try running Unity on their IBM Blade Center. Assuming the blades would meet the hardware requirements, I am wondering if it would work. Has anyone out there tried Unity on a Blade Center?
Right now we don't support Blade Center hardware for Unity. There are no plans to look at this platform.
Our approach is to test our application on specific hardware platforms. Based on the performance we see, we publish scalability numbers. This allows the customer to know _exactly_ what to expect in terms of scalability. The down side is that we can't test a wide range of hardware.
We understand it's not as flexible as some would like, but it yields greater customer success -- and that is our #1 goal.
