Unity Integration with Multiple Exchange Servers

I have a UM integration with multiple Exchange servers....The servers are showing up on the subscriber page, but when I call voice mail, it indicates that the Server is off-line. According to the MCSE, the receipient list on the primary should forward to the mailbox...but does that mean everyone should be pointed to the primary Exchange server...Thanks...>exchange 2000..

Re: Unity Integration with Multiple Exchange Servers

No, you don't need everyone to point to the Primary Exchange server. As long as all the Exchange servers are networked and the Primary exchange server is able to route emails to all others, it should work.

In Unity, check which one is the Primary Exchange and make sure the communication between Unity and the Primary server is working.

Here is how you can find the Primary Exchange in Unity.

Step 1 On the Cisco Unity server, start Regedit.

Step 2 Expand the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Active Voice\Doh.

Step 3 The name of the current partner Exchange server appears in the key Mail Server Name.

Check this link that explains how to choose the Primary server
