Unity Message export/import between two Unity Servers

Hi,

Customer current has unity 3.16(VM) with Exchange 5.5, and will install a new Unity server 4.0(5) with exchange 2000. But some subscribers in old server who will be migrated to the new Unity server, need keep the message. Is there any Exchange tool (for example, emerge tool) or some utility to export those message from Exchange 5.5 and import them into the new Unity server(Exchange 2000)?

What is the procedure and key point I need pay attention to?

Thanks,

JJ

ExMerge will work across versions of Exchange no problem - messages are exported into .PST files for each user and the mail alias is used to import them back in - you can also do it "one off" for each user via an Outlook client if there are only a handful of them (it uses the same .PST file format).

I was wondering when you use the exmerge uility export and and import voicemail messages. If the user has several saved messges and some new messages when you import the pst can unity decipher which are new and which ones are saved or are they marked as new?
