I have an unity 5.0 and a cluster of CallManager 5.1, a few days the phones stopped to work the message waiting indicator (MWI) but the Outlook receives the e-mail informing us that have the voice-mail.
I checked CSS and partition phones with MWI and it's ok, you dial the own device to trigger MWI light turns on and off. The odd thing is that you dial the extension of the own extension (i.e x1000 to x1000) and leave a message (obviously with the busy trigger set to 1 and the busy internal set to the unity) the MWI works and also get the email. If i call of another extension ( i.e x2000 to x1000 ) i just receive the e-mail, MWI not works.
