Unity Overlapping numbers

are there any issues regarding unity where overlapping numbers have been used, i.e if 1 extension was say 700123 and another extension was 70012. Any issues with regards to interdigit timeouts etc. These users are probably in different locations i.e Germany and UK....Jag

Re: Unity Overlapping numbers

Hi -

This is a design issue for your consideration. Here is the Unity design guide that discusses how to segment Unity subscribers when phone systems have overlapping extensions - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/5x/networking/guide/ex/5xcunetexpdf.pdf

If your Germany subscribers are going to be voice messaging with your UK subscribers, there are hints in this guide to make it happen and discusses the behavior you can expect. Start in Chapter 2, page 17 (Digital networking). Also look at the section titled "Addressing Options for Non-Networked Phone Systems" if this applies to your configuration.
