Unity restore question

We have a Unity 4.0.5 voicemail only server that has crashed. It is completely dead and needs to be rebuilt. We have a Dirt backup.

We would like to reconfigure Unity and integrate with the corporate AD and off box Exchange 2000. Since Unity is already down we figure this would be a good time to do it.

1. Is this type of restore supported?

2. No one knows what the format is of the AD/Exchange accounts that are backed up, and as a result we don't know if we need to remap the alias. Can this info be found in the backed up Dirt files?

3. If we decide to rebuild the server as a voicemail only will Dirt automatically create both the AD and exchange accounts?

Re: Unity restore question

Be sure to check the help file and training videos for more details on the app's home page:

1. Yes, as noted in the help this is supported. There is build in capability for alias remapping assuming that's necessary.

2. That's kind of tough - the only way to get the SQL tables out is to do a restore - you'll have to restore onto a test system first I suppose to look.

3. yes - the help file has details on how this is done.
