Unity Server Hardware Upgrade

I have currently Unity UM version 4.05 and want to upgrade server and upgrade Unity to version 5. My plan is to extend schema (Unity version 5),upgrade current production version to 5, install latest DiRT, and run a backup. Next, install new server into domain using a new server name, install Unity version 5, integrate with Exchange (2003), take production box off network, and then do a DiRT restore on new server.

Does anyone see a flaw in this process? Thanks!

Re: Unity Server Hardware Upgrade

Looks good! I would maybe test the Unity 5.x server after its built. Create a new Subscriber, new integration to CUCM and see how it works. (MWI, TUI, etc)

Hi -

I would also pre-send your existing Unity license file(s) to licensing@cisco.com and have them "rehost" to the new server's MAC. I've done this with them before and it works great. But do this before your planned upgrade in production to the new server.

Best wishes, Ginger
