We have a Unity Server which emails users when they receive voicemail. This action occurred from the day we installed it. We would like to be able limit this feature. We would like to choose which users who receive email. How do we do this? We have the latest Windows version of Unity which is voicemail only. We have two Cisco Callmanagers (Publisher and Subscriber)
You could always setup a Rule Wizard in Outlook to move the voicemail to a sub folder. It would work in the background and they would never know. The only issue you would run into is that now the MWI light will not function. (it scans the Inbox folder of the subscriber for new voicemails, or read voicemails to light the MWI on/off.)
Double accounts work, but are a pain. Since the voicemail really is not a message notification, its actually a delivery to the subscribers inbox. There is not other place to "dump" the message but the inbox of the subscriber. Hence, a new email/voicemail notification is flagged in Outlook.
For "one offs" like this one, you can go into the SA page of Unity and pull up the subcriber, you can then save a copy of their recorded name, greetings to your drive. Then upload them back after you create them again. You can also log into Outlook and save the voicemails to a PST, then bring them back over.
Then the person just needs to reset their PIN or you can type it in for them. I usually do this for VP's or something that is upper brass and don't have time to deal with a vm problem like this. Otherwise I tell the rest of migions tough, reset up your voicemail account from scratch.

The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
1) Login into the CLI of the Publisher.
