Unity slow to repsond for users with UMR

Doing some testing and failed my Exchange servers to force UMR. I log in as a user, type my password and have over a 20 delay to get to the system and voice mail messages. Is there any tweaking I can do to get a better response? Unity 4.1.1 with Callmanager integration. Thanks.

I suspect this is the first user to log in after you take the Exchange server off line, right? Do subsequent calls from either that subscriber or other subscribers homed on the same box still take 20 seconds? You may be calling in before Unity "knows" the mailstore(s) in question are not available to it for logging in and it has to fail (timout) when logging into a mailbox on that store first...

Subsequent logins to VM bring same results, more than 20 seconds to get Unity to respond. I take it this is not normal behavior.
