Unity VM only and Cisco MARS issues

Hi,

Anyone run into Unity 4.0(4) in VM only environment stop answering calls when Cisco MARS scans the unity server?

CSA is on the unity server, but when this happens there are POP3SVC and IMAP4SVC errors in event log. Shortly after these 2 events unity stops answering calls and all services show started, no other errors in event log, and the tray icon shows unity is running.

I know MARS is not on the unity software list, but in this case MARS is not loaded on the unity server and is a seperate device in the network that happened to scan unity and cause the below errors and symptons.

The client has been able to duplicate this behavior by having the MARS scan unity. And I had another completely seperate client report same problem.

We have configured MARS not to scan Unity, but just wanted to pass this along as it can cause unity to stop answering calls.

Update on this, TAC filed DDTS CSCsd85445 on this - mainly to document the impact this causes.
