I'm working on a VPIM integration between Unity 5 and an Avaya VPIM gateway. The extension ranges overlap between the two systems so I'm looking for some clarification on how this should be designed.
There will be a combination of manually created VPIM subscribers and blind addressing. My thought is to create the VPIM subs using a DTMF ID made up of the site's dial ID (072 for instance) and their extension (1234). Then when users address a message to 0721234, it will match the VPIM subscriber but if they address the message to 0724567 it will use blind addressing. When the message arrives at the destination system, the site ID will be stripped and the message will be delivered to the correct mailbox.
I'm wondering if anyone who's done something similar can comment on this plan.
