Unity xfer to Phone fails on off hook - From SIP provider

I have a CUCM-CUC setup as follows


Cisco 2821 (revision 1.0) with 1030144K/18432K bytes of memory.

Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software (C2800NM-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 15.1(4)M8, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

Processor board ID FTX1219A1XM 2 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

1 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module

2 Voice FXO interfaces DRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity enabled.

239K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.

253008K bytes of ATA CompactFlash (Read/Write)


We use Vitelity as our SIP provider. This service enables 4 calls on one DID


Here is a small piece of CLI

Here is the problem

Calls come in to CUC and the IVR treatments work. When CUC IVR picks the call I can use DTMF on the calling device to select an internal DN. I see CLID and the number calling on the Phone a 7975. When I pick up the call there is silence and then the call drops. Same thing happens when the call is not answered and attempts to go to CUC to leave a VM.

I can place calls out all day long and things are good. There are very sporadic calls not connected.


If I go into the Dial Peer and delete a line and then add that line back then calls work. Give it about 5-10 minutes or so and the calls fail as described above
