Hi,
I just recently upgraded from 7.1.2 -> 7.1.5 to get the new SIP phones working, aka 9971 and such.
After the upgrade, I noticed that none of the UPC clients are able to controll the Desk Phone they are assosiated with for some reason.
The softphone work just fine.
At first I thought it was limited to the 9971 phone, but after checking with the people using the UPC to control their deskphones, I see that it's for everyone.
I updated my UPC client to 7.1 just now, in order for it to regognize my 9971, but I still can't control the Desk Phone bit.
The error message is cryptic as best:
It says:
Connected (Primary) - An unexpected problem was encountered - No desk phone available
Any ideas?
best,

Try to add the group "Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf" to your users.

That did the trick.

Dont think I've seen it before!

Not sure if it is a new group.

It is new in 7.1(5) and 8.0(1) to support the 8900 and 9900 series phones.
