upgrade communication manager

Hi

I have to upgrade the cisco communication manager from 6.0(1) to 6.1(2)... i just did a search in the cisco website for software download for the communication manager 6.0 and 6.1. I can only find the data migration assistant and some update and patches....but unable to find the software for the upgrade. can anyone point me to the corrent link where I can download the software for upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1 please?

Hi Rachel,

This upgrade *** (note the reference to 6.1(1x)) will require you to order the Media Kits;

Use the Product Upgrade Tool (PUT) or the PUT that is for registered customers only to obtain a media kit and license or to purchase the upgrade from Cisco Sales.

To use the PUT, you must enter your Cisco contract number (Smartnet, SASU or ESW) and request the CD/CD set. If you do not have a contract for Cisco Unified Communications Manager, you must purchase the upgrade from Cisco Sales.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the information.

I am actually using a demo at the moment for my lab environment... the communication manager which is running is 6.0(1)... so do I still go through the PUT if I only need a demo version for the upgrade to 6.1(2)?

or do you know where I can download the demo version for the Cisco Communication Manager 6.1(2) ?

Hi Rachel,

There are no downloadable ISO files for the upgrade to CUCM 6.1(2), so even for the lab you would need to order the media set :)

Hi Rob,

I am in the process of upgrading 6.0.1 to 6.1.1 now.

I have downloaded the part 1 and part 2 ISO file and now trying to combine them into one file... however the file that is generated is only 35k and it doesnt make sense since the original part 1 file is already over 1G...

I run the command a several times and still cant figure out why the file generated is not working

here is the command I run:

COPY /D UCSInstall_UCOS_6.1.1.1000-11.sgn.iso_part1of2+UCSInstall_UCOS_6.1.1.1000-11.sgn.iso_part2of2 UCSInstall_UCOS_6.1.1.1000-11.sgn.iso

after i run it there is a file generated called UCSInstall_UCOS_6.1.1.1000-11.sgn.iso ( 35k) ... and the message saying 1 file copied..

any idea?
