Upgrade Unity 3.1(3) to 4.0(5) in the same box

I have Unity 3.1(3) w/Exchage 5.5 in the old 7835 MCS box which has CD-ROM and want to upgrade to 4.0(5).

Q1) Can I install 4.0(5) with network mapping the DVD from the other machine?

Q2) 4.0(5) has CCM integration menu instead of TSP. what can I do the TSP after upgrade? do I need remove the CCM entry from the TSP menu?

Q3) Any special consideration to upgrade the 3.1(3) to 4.0(5) in the same box? I think just install 4.0(5) as the normal installation instruction.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Upgrade Unity 3.1(3) to 4.0(5) in the same box

1) Yes but it will be very slow. On the computer with the DVD, you could map a drive to the unity server's hard drive, and copy the files over.

2) During Unity install, you will be required to configure UTIM.

3) Please read through Upgrading Cisco Unity 3.x Software to the Shipping Version http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_upgrade_guides_chapter09186a0080205a78.html As with all changes, do a backup, make sure the backup is good, and know how to restore.
