Hi,

I hope someone can help me with this problem ..

I've a MGCP gateway(Cisco 3754), a call manager (version 4.1) and a Cisco Unity for the voice mail.

In the office I can access the voice mail(associate to a extension) without any problem.I go home and tried to access my voice mail and i hear the Cisco Unity Message "Welcome to the Cisco Unity ...blá blá...with the phone you can dial your extension or dial 4 to access the directory number....blá blá..."

I dial the digit "4" and nothing happens and the unity message reaches the end and the call is transfer to the operator.

I can see the digit "4" in the gateway:

and the interface configuration:

hi,

There are 2 things you can do to resolve thsi problem.

1. You need to add the number you are dialling from externally as an alternative extension on your unity account or

2. When you dial externally, you need to press "*" during the greeting and it will ask you to enter your id and password

Vitor,

What version of Unity? If its running on Windows, you can open the tools depot under Switch Integration Tools open up Call Viewer. This will show exactly what digits are being sent to Unity. If the digits coming into Unity are correct, then you can assume its a configuration on Unity.

The reason for Unity dumping you into the Default Opening Greeting is because it isn't able to recognize the extension you're calling from as a Unity subscriber.

Have you tried to add your home phone # as an alternate extension on your Unity subscriber account?

If the digits coming into Unity are incorrect, then you can resume troubleshooting outside of Unity as you were (GW, CUCM).

Hope that helps,

Brad
