VPIM questions

Hi,

I have a few questions about VPIM that I am hoping someone can answer.

1. If I have Unity for Exchange and Unity for Domino, do I need a VPIM license for both in order to make they "talk" to each other? Or can I just get one on Unity for Exchange and pull from Unity from Domino? Any advantages doing it just one way?

2. If I set up VPIM, will it allow me to import Unity users from Domino into Exchange so that they are in the Directory Handler?

Thanks for your help in answering my questions.

Scott

The Unity for Exchange system and the Unity for Domino system both need to be licensed for VPIM to exchange messages between them. I'm not sure I understand what you are proposing as an alternative, but there's not a way to share or replicate a license between them. And configuration has to be done on a system even if it will only receive VPIM messages and that requires a license.

You can create VPIM subscribers on the Unity for Exchange system that represent the subscribers on the Domino system and vice versa, or you can do blind addressing instead.
