Which hardware for attendant console?

Hello folks,

Imagine I have 5 sites, MPLS. Hub and branch offices have DS3 circuits.

Data Center hub is running CUCM 8.5.

branch sites are very large.

Site1=1800 IP Phones

Site2=1700 IP phones

Site3=1490 IP phones

Site4=400 IP phones

Question:

I need to deploy Attendant Console and I thought about :

If I get let's say 2 operators per branch site, I would need to place a server on each site to run these attendant consoles. Is that right?
I thought about a MCS 7825 server for each site. please advise if there are other better options.

Or since I have to put a CUCM subscriber and hardware to handle large sites Site1, Site2 and Site3, perhaps I should place an entry level UCS C box there and virtualize the CUCM and a couple of attendant console operator licenses on each site.

You do not need a server at each site. CUEAC can support up to 25 console clients which would be installed on a PC.

Ok do it seems if I setup a small MCS 7815 to get the attendant server installed in the hub.

Then on each branch I would install the console operator software on pcs. It seems latency and performance over the WAN is not going to be an issue then right?

For now Since my hardware is non virtualized, what type of redundancy is recommended on the server? If there is no easy way to setup high availability I think I would get the strongest level of smartnet and replace the hardware if the thing goes kaput.

This product well let you run in excess of 100 consoles on a small vm server. It's affordible, reliable, more powerful, and has some great features like sms style messages to the phones, voice paging etc. It will also import your existing Cisco legacy AC speed dial info.
