C-Series 220 w 1225 VIC connected to FI's

Can the C-series 220 with the 1225 VIC be connected directly to the Fabric Interconnects for UCS?

What I read in the link below is that Fabric Extenders are required so that the C-series connects to the FEX and the FEX connect to the FI's.

I'd like to just connect directly to the FI's and not have FEX in the middle.

Hi jason,

In the current implementations and the firmware this is not a supported model. You still need to have a FEX for rack server integration.

A FEX is required as it will act as the an IOM for the C-Serires servers
