C240M3 with Firmware Version 2.0 does not discover most of the hardware devices

We got a new C240M3 with firmware version 2.0(1b). Strangely as soon as it boots BIOS setup comes up automatically.

Under BIOS we don't see any BOOT options like

Network Interface, Hardware RAID Adapter or DVD etc... We did CIMC Reset but no use...But CIMC UI does show network interfaces, Hardware RAID Adapter etc....Appreciate for any inputs on this......

See below snapshots......

Hi Jack

Have you set up the CIMC on this server?  The only way to see the cd/DVD option is if you open the KVM via the CIMC and map an ISO to this.

Now with respect to the raid, have you create a raid volume? Without a raid volume you will not see an option in the BIOS of the raid either

Yes, we did setup CIMC....We can see all inventory about rack mount..Network Interfaces, RAID etc.. we did setup RAID volume..while booting it does show up...but soon after that BIOS setup comes up automatically. Even if we do F10 and exit from BIOS, again BIOS screen shows up...

Hi Jack,If you set up both,

Hi Jack,

If you set up both, then try the following:

On the first screenshot in your post notice that the "UCSM boot rules" is set to "Loose" please change this value to "strict" and save the changes.  After doing this open the CIMC under the summary tab select BIOS and change the boot order in which you have the following:

CD/DVD

HDD

Save the changes on the CIMC.  At this point you may have to reboot twice for this to take effect.

please try this and let me know if it works, also what type of raid controller do you have installed on this server?

Thanks for your reply. Looks

Thanks for your reply. Looks like we had in-compatible versions between BIOS and CIMC..

BIOS was at 1.5.3 and CIMC 2.0(1b), probably this could be the issue. I have done the update then BIOS is able to see all network interface and RAID adapter on the boot options..

Thanks...
