Can the CIMC Web/SSH interface be reset without power cycling the whole server?
We have two C460 M2 Rack mount servers using a dedicated CIMC. Standalone (not UCS manger enabled). The server is running fine and I can ping the managment IP fine. The Web interface times out and SSH connects but presents no CLI #.
The documentation for this server indicates that the front panel has a 'Reset Button' and an 'NMI Button' The documentation however lacks any description of what it resets or even what NMI is.
Unfortunately, the ways you can reset CIMC without touching the rest of the server involve a connection to CIMC itself through either SSH or HTTP(s). There is an OLD known issue with the old models (M3s do nt suffer this, at least I have not seen it) where you need to reboot the server to recover access.
