One of our presales guy designed a flexpod solution in which we have one 5108 chassis with 4 blades and two 6120 XP fabric interconnects connecting to Nexus 5548UP switches and Netapp FAS3210A. Problem started when when we check the material for starting the project in which there is UTI FCoE card in Netapp but no SFP or cablesa and also Nexus doesnt have FC additional module. Iniitally we thought we will connect both FC ports in Netapp to Nexus FC module and Fabric interconnect FC module to Nexus and zone it for SAN boot etc.And for NFS we will use UTI card so that we will 10G bandwidth for NFS volumes but due to no FCoE cables delivered along with netapp now we are not sure how the connectivity from netapp to UCS, now he have only 1G eth port from netapp to nexus on 1 GE but we have short of SFP for 1G as we have only four 1G ports in Nexus which will be used for connecting to Core Switches. So shall we remove the peer connectivity between Nexus switches and use onl two ports of 1GE to core and two for Netapp ethernet ports. Can this design is ok as we have some NFS volumes which will be used for corporate users.
