Do you need to purchase ports for both the subordinate and active fabric interconnects? I assumed it would be one license per clustered pair. After applying a new license to a primary FI port I was able to download the same license to the subordinate but it doesn't show under the downloaded license file tab and the corresponding port is still unlicensed.

Yes, a port license on each FI is needed as they are not shared in a cluster.

Hi Scott,
You need to have license for each FI in the clsuter. They are tied to the host id / serial number of the FI.
Each license file will license the number of ports as per it.
