Hi Expert,
i have two n5k and two 6140 FI and four 2148 fex and my ucs manger v is 2.0,please let me what is best practice to connect c series server in this enviroment so that i cam manage my c series servers from UCS and they can alos see my EMC luns.

Hi Kshitij,
The 2148 FEX is not supported for UCSM C-Series integration instead, you would need to get a 2232. If don’t want to get new FEXes (2232) you will need to upgrade your UCS environment to the 2.2 firmware release where Direct attach is now supported see below. Note that not all the C-series servers are supported on this mode, so please read the documentation below. This documented also have the best practice when integration c-series servers with UCSM. Finally, once you have these servers integrated with UCS you will be able to assign service profiles like the B-series servers and assign boot policies that uses your SAN (boot from SAN).

Need one more suggestion can my N2k connect to n5k to see attached LUN from emc,if i can not connect them to FI.

Yes, you can connect your N2k to the N5K if you need extra ports.
