Hi All,

I am having a problem that whenever I restart my Fibre Interconnet, be it restart due to firmware upgrade o anything else, the servers become unreachanble from outside....taking KVM console, when I try to ping the gateway, it can not...only option that works for me is restarting my Nexus 5k which in my scenarion works a s a L2 switch...

to brief, I am using Cisco 3750 for creating VLAN (SVI) for servers...then it is connected to Nexus 5k and after that Fibre Interconnect and finallhy UCS 5108 chassis...

Does anyone has any idea, is there any best practice to restart Fibre Interconnect

Thanks....

Sankhadip,

This happens when you reload only one of the Fabric Interconnects? Or you are rebooting both FIs?

Do you see any error in UCSM ?  Are the Fabrics working in Switching mode or End Host Mode?

What is the UCSM version?

Please provide a topology diagram.  How many N5Ks and 3750's are there, and how are they connected.  A diagram would very much help.
