Replacing B200 m2 to b200 m3

A customer has the following  :

1 - UCS 5108

2- B200- M2

3- Will replace B200 m2 to B200 M3

Questions :

1- Is it possible to replace the blade and  boot up with the same service profile ?

2- If he is doing local boot , can we just swap the disk and boot up ?

Hi Saleem,

1) yes you can swap the service profiles between different blade models as long as the VIC adapter supports the same number of virtual interfaces.

2) no you can't swap the hard disk between blades and expect the blade to boot the OS. See doc below on page 9 read the caution notes
