summer time configuration in UCS 2.02q

Hi all,

We are in time zone EST (Australia Sydney).

We just upgraded our ucs system to 2.02q and found the UCS clock is 1 hour fast than before.

As attached shows,we have not changed the timezone configuration after upgrade.

I logged in NXOS of UCS and i found the following configuration about timezone:

UCS-A(nxos)# show running-config | inc clock

clock timezone EST 10 0

clock summer-time EST 4 Sunday March 02:00 5 Sunday October 03:00 60

Above summer-time config is wrong to me.

In Australia:

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am on the first Sunday in October and ends at 2am (which is 3am Daylight Saving Time) on the first Sunday in April.

Anybody from cisco can confirm it is firmware bug or not?

Best Regards

David,

I am able to re-create the problem in the lab. When it asks for confirmation, it displays the correct time but after we commit the changes, system is configured with +1 hour of the suggested time stamp.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

/system/services# set timezone

Therefore timezone 'Australia/Sydney' will be set.

Local time is now:      Wed May 23 21:01:41 EST 2012.
Universal Time is now:  Wed May 23 11:01:41 UTC 2012.

Is the above information OK?
1) Yes
2) No

/system/services # connect nxos

(nxos)# show run  | i clock

clock timezone EST 10 0
clock summer-time EST 4 Sunday March 02:00 5 Sunday October 03:00 60   <<<=== Incorrect Daylight savings description

I have submitted following defect to track this issue.

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCua06838

It will take a while to get published on external website.

Please open a TAC service request and upload UCSM tech support bundle to it.

As a work around, we need to manually configure the time on FI.
