UCS 200c datastore

Mike,

Have you configured RAID 1 out of 6 * 600 GB HDDs ?

Where do you notice the storage capacity values i.e in CIMC > Storage tab or from ESXi ?

Re: UCS 200c datastore

Is esx-i. I configured the array in two spots from the lsi config as well as from esx-i. Both same result when I look at storage from esx-i that's where I see it.

Re: UCS 200c datastore

Mike,

Can you please share the output that you notice it ?

Is the server using LSI 1064E raid adapter ?

If yes, you can install the MSM tool and gather the HDD and RAID information  as seen by the RAID controller.

Re: UCS 200c datastore

No it is a 1068 controller...

I was under the gun so I settled for 1.8 tb...

I will try and replicate in the lab.

I  tried  IM. IME and IS.. I also created a a datastore thru ESX-i and kept expanding. It did the same thing. where I was seeing ot was when you go to the main ESX-i pae, looked at storage and the Datastores.. and it shows capacity and free sizes..
