UCS Admin account disabled

Had a Monday morning moment

We have two UCS Servers UCS C220 M3L Firmware 1.5 (1f) recently built but not in production yet.

Noticed that the CIMC account was still admin and cisco so decided to create new administrator account.

First server no issues, but second created new user disabled admin but forgot to change user from read only before saving and logging off.

I have found admin password recovery procedure but will this work with a disabled account.

Advise welcome

UCS Admin account disabled

Hello Paul,

If you connect a monitor and press F8 during boot sequence, you can enter CIMC config utility. From there you can reset the admin password and check it out.

If it does not work, you can enter the utility again and enable the option "CIMC factory default  "  and then re-configure networking options.
