Hello,
I am at a bit of a quandry. I have been trying to find somewhere, anywhere, that indicates that the following configuration is supported/certified by the companies involved.
Cisco UCS B-Series servers
Windows 2012
EMC VNX 5500 Block
Fiber Channel
Here is where it breaks down:
EMC does not list any B-series servers as supported/certified with Windows 2012 connecting to a VNX (block) array.
Any ideas?

Hello Chris,
Assuming UCSM 2.1.2a firmware version, Windows 2012 is supported on UCS servers and the EMC VNX 5500 array.
Here is the HCL ( Hardware Compatibility List )

This is not technically a factual statement. If you look at the document, as opposed to the tool, it states that EMC must be referenced for a specific certified configuration.
This is where it breaks down.

Can you please share the information on what is stated by EMC doc that contradicts Cisco HCL ?

The issue here is that EMC does not state it is not supported/certified. It is that the UCS B-Series is not listed within its Interoperability Matrixes for Windows 2012 at all. VMware ESX/ESXi is listed, all the way up to the newest version/update, as well as Windows 2008 versions.
The Matrixes are listed on EMC's support site, support.emc.com
