I did reboot after firmware upgrade but server is failed boot.

The OS is not installed yet.

When you turn on the "Configuring and testing memory .... Configuring platform hardware ....." screen will have to wait for 20 minutes after.

1. power on

Sung,

From http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/c/hw/C22/install/C22.pdf  (page 33)

Using the BIOS Recovery Header CN34

Depending on which stage the BIOS becomes corrupted, you might see different behavior.

•If the BIOS BootBlock is corrupted, you might see the system get stuck on the following message:

Initializing and configuring memory/hardware

•If it is a non-BootBlock corruption, the following message is displayed:

****BIOS FLASH IMAGE CORRUPTED****

Flash a valid BIOS capsule file using CIMC WebGUI or CLI interface.

IF CIMC INTERFACE IS NOT AVAILABLE, FOLLOW THE STEPS MENTIONED BELOW.

1. Connect the USB stick with recovery.cap file in root folder.  <<< recovery.cap is in the HUU .iso image

2. Reset the host.

IF THESE STEPS DO NOT RECOVER THE BIOS

1. Power off the system.

2. Mount recovery jumper.

3. Connect the USB stick with recovery.cap file in root folder.

4. Power on the system.

Wait for a few seconds if already plugged in the USB stick.

Could you please confirm to us that the steps above did not work? the pdf specifies the step-by-step procedure

-Kenny

Thank you for bringing attention.

4 days to see the progress of the document, but is difficult.

Bios BootBlock or non-BootBlock corruption of the screen is not visible.

Recovery Jumper pin 1 and 2 of the 2 and 3 move the files to the USB recovery.cap ready to reboot, but the same screen appears.

FAT-formatted USB, The LED does not come with USB does not seem to recognize.

CN34 Jumper screen to be moved is the same.

pic 2. USB File (Recovery.cap)

- Thanks

Sung,

When you get to the "Press Setup, ...."   can you press F2 and check boot order? It looks like it is trying to find a bootable image through PXE

Have you ever had the option to configure CIMC?  If yes, can you check if there are "option ROMs" enabled?

-Kenny

Keny,

Come out the screen above the keyboard not recognized.

Succeeded in booting via PXE boot, but does not recognize the keyboard seems to be difficult to work anymore.

Cisco TAC Case open, this seems to be.

Thank you.

- Jung

Definitely, proceed...

I found the cause, but the resolution was not

I have to RMA twice. However, the same symptoms appeared.

VGA cable is connected to the main power is turned failure.

Connect the power after 30 seconds when you connect the VGA cable to normal operation.

The state also like the latest firmware and still bugs (CSCud41102) will remain.

Recovery time after power off the server and remove the VGA to put're very strange things happen.

Customer satisfaction which this strange server do?

I hope this quick fix.

Hi Sungjun-jung!

I tried your solution and it worked!

I power off the server, then I connect the VGA, then I wait for 10 minutes, the I power on the server and it started properly.
