UCS C240 M3 and Nvidia Quadro cards

Is support planned for the Nvidia Quadro 4000,5000,6000 line of video cards for UCS?

I realize it will require a 8pin male to 6pin male power adapter which at the moment doesn't appear to exist but can be done with extensions...

Hello Eric,

Only K series Nvidia GPUs are supported.

Padma

yes, the question was "Is support planned for the Quadro line of cards", in other words is it on the roadmap for future support?  or possibly other video cards?

Hello Eric,

K-series is next generation for Quadro series . There are no plans to support Quadro cards.

Padramas,

That is good news, would you happen to have a link to any cisco documentation that supports that?  Basically I need to have it in a Cisco doc before management will approve ordering a k4000, k5000, etc..

Please refer to Nvidia and C240 M3 server datasheet

Hello Eric,

Please refer Page no. 37 of below data sheet for available NVIDIA GPU cards option in UCS C240 server.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/ps10265/ps10493/C240M3_SFF_SpecSheet.pdf

Also refer, NVIDIA GRID K1 and K2 cards data sheet at below link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/ps10265/ps10493/nvidia_grid_vgx.pdf

This is exactly my point, neither of those documents specify that a K4000, K5000, K6000 are supported video cards in a UCS C240 M3 server.  We would love to purchase one for use but nothing states that those are supported video cards.

Hello Eric,

The nvidia cards listed in the datasheet are branded for Cisco servers that are tested and qualified.

Installation of cards purchased directly from Nvidia are not supported.
