Hi,

we're testing the latest version of UCS director. Provision a vm is all fine but it's placing the new vm under our vcopsvapp, not under the folder we told him to place this VM.

Is there any reason why it's ignoring my "Deploy to Folder" option in our computing policy.

Regards,

John

John,

Can you please provide a screen shot of the policy screen?

/dbs/

Do you mean this one:

but looks like groupname should be group_name, let's give it another try.

Hi John,

I believe that's a typo in our documentation and as you correctly pointed out it should be ${GROUP_NAME}.

It's creating the group folder in virtual center but still provisioning under the vapp:

Just deployed wheezy but for some reason it's putting it under the vapp vcops.

According the the logs, destination should be TO:

John

Can you provide the log files?

it is part of Administration --> System Administration --> Support

I've attached the log.

John,

Can you send us a screenshot of your computing policy showing the resource pool selection and also let us know the resource pools you have in vCenter?

We havn't select a resource pool in de compute policy:

We're using vpshere 5.5 but i guess that shouldn't be a problem?

John,

The BU would like to take a better look at this. Would you mind opening a TAC service request?
