UCS License: grace-period

Hi

We are deploying UCS 2.1(2a) with 6296 FI.

On top of the 18 port default license allocation, additional ports can be configured and used with a 120 day grace-period license (until an additonal / full paid for license is installed).

My current understanding is - when the 120 day grace-period license expires:

  • An alarm will be raised (until a full license is installed)

  • The port will continue to run normally with absolutely no operational impact

Can someone please confirm the second point above is correct (absolutely no operational impact).

Thank you

Hello

Yes, that's correct. UCSM will not bring down port(s)  for license violation. Though, it will continue to generate alarms.

Padma

That's great - thank you Padma.
