vxc2211 reset causing 7971 phone to restart

IP phone is connected to the POE switch and feeds the network connection to the zero client which is using a power adapter. If the zero client issues a reset via the UI or the button, the cisco 7971 phone does a reset and drops the call.

In the same scenario but used with an older 7941 phone, it does not experience this issue. Both phones are running 9.2.3 phone loads and I am trying to verify the firmware version of the zero although they are centrally managed and should retrieve the same configuration.

There doesn't seem to be very many threads about these device yet so any suggestions would be appreciated.
