Process Orchestrator 3.1.0 does not support SQL server 2012 ??

According to the compatability matrix CPO 3.1.0 supports SQL server 2012However when we try to install it ( new installation)  we receive an error stating that only SQL server 2008 is supported.Any Ideas are helpfulLinwood
