If the Cisco 7960 is configured for MGCP and/or SIP can the Web functionality still be utilized ? Specifically, can the 7960 be pointed to a URL that provides the Services/Directory page ?Thanks.
What is the best way to provide remote control and remote monitoring of a Cisco IP Phone ?. I have developed a 3rd Party Call Controller using JTAPI, but I want to be able to see what the user sees on the 7960 set.
Currently, Cisco only supports routing functionality in the JTAPI callcenter package. Does Cisco intend to support ACD functionality ? This would allow a smaller scale ACD to be developed for small businesses without the high cost of a full ACD.
I will answer my own question - I discovered the solution is to use BTXML (Basic Telephony Extended Markup Language). Per Cisco IP Phone BTXML Version 2.0 Application Development Guide - currently, BTXML is available only on the Cisco 7960 and 7940 ...
My point is that I don't want to have to purchase IPCC. Does Cisco intend to support the callcenter JTAPI package without having to purchase additional equipment ? This would allow smaller scale ACD's to be developed.
You may want to considering using a softphone. Cisco has one, so does a company called IP Blue. IP Blue is SCCP (Skinny Client Control Protocol) compliant.
