Hi
I have a 1760V with 2FXO, two tel lines are coming from local Tel company. There is no PBX in office
Problem is when people dial the numbers, they find FXO port stuck with the line. PORTS are released only when the CABLE is removed or PORTS are SHUT , NO SHUT
Is there a way to configure the FXO ports in such way that when there is SILENSE in LINE, the ROUTER SHOULD release the PORTS from TEL LINES
So that next time someone want to try, should get the line free
I WOULD BE THANKFUL IF YOU CAN GIVE A REMEDY
I am in difficult situation
I am pasting the display of Router (1760-V)
1760V#sh ru

You are running into FXO supervisory disconnect issue. The following URL will help you inderstand the problem:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk652/tk653/technologies_tech_note09186a00800ae2d1.shtml
Some other workarounds are also pointed in the following URL:

I hope that helps.

Hi, you should review the cabling from telco this has to be like this
1234 pins
-+ this is the right order of the polarity, although you need to ground the chasis of the router.
and review the disconnect supervision command for your zone.
suerte!!
