2600 w/VXO to Asterisk

I have an analog phone line connected into a FXO on my 2600. the 2600 has a SIP peer to my Asterisk box. The problem I'm having is two fold:

1) The gateway picks up on the first ring -- any way I can change that?

2) When the gateway picks up the call, and if the caller hangs up the phone, the gateway doesnt' disconnect seem to disconnect the call for about 20 seconds. Any way to get the gateway to disconnect the call more quickly?

Re: 2600 w/VXO to Asterisk

Hi there,

Not sure on point number 1.

Number 2 is a known problem which is well documented on the Cisco site.

Here is a link to the page.

In Australia Telstra offer a product called "Reversal on Answer" which is battery (or voltage) reversal on the phone line which I have yet to try but am told this is the solution to the problem.

I hope this helps, let me know how you go.

Regards

If you are using connection plar on fxo , use connection plar-opx instead.
