Call Manager Voice Mail Message Size reduction

By using g.711, g.723 or g.729 compression on different regions within the call manager I know this changes/reduces the amount of bandwidth used by each call. So, is there a way to compress or reduce the size of the voice mail messages that are sent to the users exchange mail? I would like to minimize the amount of space needed on my Exchange Server for these messages. In turn allowing me to lower the Exchange mailbox size limit comfortably.

Yes, Unity supports several different codecs. Please see the following link regarding Unity and codecs including an overview of supported codecs as well as the necessary configuration steps. G.729 is the most commonly used codec to address bandwidth and storage concerns.
