Can NFAS (one D-Channle for multiple PRIs) support for Video/Data?

Hi all,

A design question. Customer currently has one T1/PRI installed on AS5350 for video conference. They want to order another T1/PRI but try to use the first existing PRI D channel to controll the both the T1 PRIs for Video and Data traffic.

I understand that this NFAS can support for voice/data, but not sure if it support for Video conference/data.

YES,

NFAS will be able to support your needs as you've described them. (for Video over IP)

since NFAS can support h323, your video conferencing should work just fine.

NOTE: NFAS is not supported on primary-5ess switch types.
